Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: March 24, 2026

⚠️
Required disclosure: PupWiki participates in affiliate advertising programs. This page explains exactly how those relationships work and how they affect (and don't affect) our editorial decisions. This disclosure complies with FTC guidelines on endorsements and testimonials.

Amazon Associates Program

PupWiki (pupwiki.com) is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

When you click a product link on our site that leads to Amazon and complete a qualifying purchase, we earn a small commission — typically between 1% and 4% of the purchase price for pet supply categories. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or navigate directly to Amazon. Amazon pays our commission from their own margin, not from yours.

Chewy Affiliate Program

We participate in the Chewy affiliate program via the Impact affiliate network. When you click a Chewy link and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission. Chewy commissions are typically a flat referral fee per new customer.

As with Amazon, the price you pay is not affected by using our affiliate links.

Other Affiliate Programs

We may participate in additional affiliate programs from time to time, including but not limited to programs offered by pet brands, DNA testing companies, GPS tracker manufacturers, and pet food subscription services. Any such relationship will be covered by this disclosure.

All affiliate links on this site are functional links — they direct you to a product page where you can read full product details and purchase if you choose. We do not use affiliate link disguising or deceptive redirect practices.

How Affiliate Relationships Affect Our Reviews

The short answer: they don't — and here is why we can say that with confidence:

Our product scoring is based on a defined methodology applied before we know or consider affiliate commission rates.

We include genuine cons in every review, including cons that may reduce conversion on that product.

We sometimes recommend against buying a popular product — including products with above-average affiliate commissions.

Our best-overall picks are chosen by score, not by commission rate. Some of our highest-ranked products have lower commissions than lower-ranked alternatives.

We do not accept payment from brands to improve their ranking in our recommendations.

We link to products on Chewy when Chewy offers a better price, even when Amazon would pay us a higher commission.

Identifying Affiliate Links

Affiliate links on PupWiki are typically displayed as buttons or inline text links labelled "Check price on Amazon," "View on Chewy," or similar. You may also identify affiliate links by the tracking parameters in the URL (e.g. ?tag=aiexpertscorn-20 for Amazon links).

Price Accuracy

Product prices displayed on this site are approximate and sourced from affiliate data feeds. Prices change frequently on Amazon and Chewy. Always verify the current price directly on the retailer's site before purchasing.

Sponsored Content

PupWiki does not currently publish sponsored reviews or paid brand partnerships. If this changes in the future, any sponsored content will be clearly labelled "Sponsored" at the top of the relevant page, in compliance with FTC guidelines.
